Ackerman Cancer Center is proud to announce the return of Heading Forward: Support for People with Oral, Head, and Neck Cancer (SPOHNC).

Join us virtually or in person Wednesday, September 14th, 2022 from 12 pm – 1 pm

We are pleased to welcome this month’s speaker, Dawn Thomas, LMT, CLC, IHT, HMT. Ms. Thomas is an 18-year veteran of Therapeutic Bodywork, former college professor of 10 years and former Director of Behavioral Health services in the Mandarin area of Jacksonville. Ms. Thomas is a Certified Life, Business and Health Coach, Certified Personal Trainer, Integrated Health Therapist and Human Movement Specialist. In addition, she has almost 30 years of experience in the medical field with a prime focus on Therapeutic Neuromuscular Therapies & their disease processes. Her passion and most prominent expertise is in Oncology/Hospice massage.

Ms. Thomas will be presenting on Therapeutic Bodywork benefits for Head and Neck Cancer patients and massage treatment options after effects of Chemotherapy and Radiation.
